What you’ll practice

Start with ears, tails, wings, and body stance. Kanto shapes are often simple, so one small feature can separate close answers.

  1. Check distinctive tails first: Raichu, Slowbro, and the Eevee family have very different rear outlines.
  2. Use wing and shell shapes to separate flying species from fossils and armored evolutions.
  3. For compact quadrupeds, compare ear height and body stance before committing to a name.
