How to read Ghost silhouettes

Look for what is missing as much as what is present. Floating feet, disconnected hands, trailing cloth, smoke, and object handles are often the fastest path to the answer.

  1. Decide whether the design is creature-like, doll-like, or a possessed object before comparing individual species.
  2. Floating silhouettes often reveal themselves through a tapered lower body, wisps, or hands that do not connect normally.
  3. Masks, hats, candles, swords, and teacups create geometric edges that stand apart from organic Ghost designs.
  4. Grass, Ground, Fire, and Dragon pairings add roots, clay bodies, flames, or long reptilian proportions.

Silhouettes that are easy to confuse

Ghost or floating Psychic?

Ghost designs more often trail into smoke, cloth, or detached parts; Psychic silhouettes tend to keep a complete body.

Creature or possessed object?

Search for rigid symmetry, handles, blades, flames, or seams before assuming the outline belongs to an animal.

Small body, large disguise

Some Ghost Pokémon hide beneath costumes or props, so the outer outline may deliberately imitate another species.

Ghost Pokémon by generation

Use the distribution to choose a smaller era to study next. Counts refer to the generation where each species was introduced.
